About Me
Read MoreAfter junior school, senior school and 4 University years for a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering, I went away to College. Almost 2 years of Air Training College earned me a Commercial Pilot’s Licence and a job with British Airways. Retirement 31 years later made me a full time aeromodeller and it has taken 20 years of that to get to this website.

Model Aircraft
Read MoreAt age 11 I had a Sleek Streek, and successful Jetex powered free flight models from Keil Kraft kits, then years of failed control line and rubber powered free flight. But since starting radio control in 1978 I have had a great time. I am now into waterplanes and jets and have started on some large scale petrol engined projects

Books
Read MoreI have written two books. The first is a light hearted attempt to explain some simple aerodynamic theory to model aeroplane enthusiasts. My second is an account of my day job, the memoirs of an airline pilot. My third will be a novel, if I ever finish it.

Articles
Read MoreFor many years I wrote two monthly columns plus lots of articles on varied subjects. Since 2012 I have contributed just the occasional article and drafted out a few others which I didn’t bother to send in, but I’ll start posting them here. And you can download my SCALE SPEADSHEET, a must for any scale modeller

Theory
Read MoreI occasionally get these ideas, and write them down. Some might be of use to other modellers, some I would like to discuss with like minded modellers.
